I want to apply for exemption. I want to know the documents, which are required to be submitted along with my exemption application.
A candidate will be required to apply to the respective Zonal Office of the Institute (contact address given at the end of booklet) for exemption along with copies of the following duly attested by the Branch Manager:
a) mark sheets of all the years
b) syllabus relating to the acquired qualification
c) certificate
The candidate should apply for exemption one month before submitting the examination application form for the examination. In case of professional qualification like CA/ CS/ ICWA, the candidate may submit only the attested copy of the certificate
The decision of the Institute in the matter of grant of exemption will be final.
All communication in respect of exemptions should be made with the concerned Zonal office of the Institute. In any case application for exemption should not be sent to the Corporate office of the Institute.
The decision in respect of exemption will be communicated to the candidate by the concerned zonal office.
I want to change my address recorded with you.
The members are requested to write to the concerned zonal office of the Institute for the purpose of effecting change in their address for communication. In case of transfer of membership number from one zone to the other zone, the member is requested to apply to their earlier zone for effecting change of address and transfer of the records to the new zonal office of the Institute.
I have forgotten my membership number and want to find out my correct membership number
The member is requested to write to the respective zonal office of the Institute for the purpose of finding out the membership number. The member should give the details such as his full name, his date of birth, the name of his employer, his address and the details of the subjects which he has passed if any.
I want to join the tutorial classes conducted by the Institute at the zonal offices/sub centres and want to know the tutorial class fee.
IIBF has accredited Educational Training Centres across India to impart coaching in banking related subjects. List of the Accredited Institutions for providing educational support services for JAIIB / CAIIB / DIPLOMA courses is available in the site under 'Products and services'
Members are requested to get in touch with these centres to know the coaching schedule/ fees etc.
I want to know the next Associate/Diploma Examination dates.
Institute gives the examination schedule along-with Examination Application Form.
Dates of the next Associate/ Diploma/ Certificate Examinations are given under 'Products and Services - Examinations - Schedules' in the portal. The members can download the timetable from the portal. The members may also get in touch with the zonal offices to know the dates of the examinations.

I want to know about Study Material, its availability and cost:
The Institute has published its study materials through leading publishers like M/s Macmillan and M/s Taxmann. The books were earlier supplied to the candidates by the Institute through its Zonal Offices. The procedure of supplying study kits through the Zonal Offices of the Institute was cumbersome. In order to simplify the process, candidates are hereby informed that the study kit materials for JAIIB/CAIIB (English/Hindi Medium) henceforth may be purchased directly from the publishers. The English Medium books will be available with M/s Macmillan outlets/ showrooms/ distributors throughout the country and for the Hindi Medium books at the outlets of M/s Taxmann. Candidates who purchase the books directly from the outlets of the publishers will be offered a discount of 20% on the cost price of the book. Candidates desirous of purchasing the books by post will not be offered any discount. However the postage will be borne by the publishers. They would be required to send their indent to the publisher's outlet along with a Demand Draft for the cost of the book/s. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of M/s Macmillan India Ltd / M/s Taxmann Publications Pvt. Ltd., as the case may be. (No cheques will be accepted).
Candidates are requested not to send any request for the purchase of books for JAIIB/CAIIB to the Institute's Zonal Offices/ Corporate Office. Please see 'Products and Services - Educational Support Services - Self Study Kits' Kits' to know about cost and details of availability of material.
I have not received my result advice for the Associate Examination.
The members are requested to apply for a duplicate copy of the result advice to the respective zonal office/ corporate office. The result advice of a member is likely to be withheld if he has not paid the examination fees or if his membership subscription is in arrears or if Institute has not received the Examination application form before the due date.
I want to know the results of the current Associate Examination.
The results of any Examination conducted by the Institute are usually announced one/ two months after the closure of the examination. The results of the May/ June Examination would usually be declared in the first week of August and the results of the November/ December examination would be declared in the first week of February. The Institute sends printed result advice to all the members who appeared for the examination. The results of the examinations are also available on the IIBF portal on the day of announcement of result.
I have submitted the examination form for the Associate/Diploma examination. I have not so far received the Membership identity card/ examination admit card.
The membership identity card/ examination admit card are usually despatched 21 days before the commencement of any examination. In case any member does not receive the admit card/ identity card ten days before the examination, he is requested to get in touch with the respective zonal office of the Institute for offline examination and to the Corporate Office of the Institute for on line examination and obtain a duplicate admit card. In case a member does not receive the membership identity card, the member should apply for issuing a duplicate identity card by way of specifically applying for duplicate identity card to the respective zonal office. The member should send two photographs, three specimen signatures and a demand draft of Rs 50/- favouring 'Indian Institute of Banking & Finance' alongwith the application for issuing duplicate identity card.
I want to apply for verification of marks. What is the procedure/ fees to be paid?
The members can apply for verification of marks to the respective the zonal office of the Institute, immediately after receipt of the result. The verification fee is Rs. 150/- per subject which is payable only by way of a demand draft payable at Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata as the case may be favouring 'Indian Institute of Banking & Finance'. Verification application shall not be entertained if received after a period of 30 days of the date of declaration of result. The outcome of the verification of marks shall be communicated to the candidate within a period of one month after receipt of his application. Please note that there is no provision for revaluation of marks. As per the rules for the conduct of the examination, only totaling of marks is done and is seen that all the answer is having assessed. The members are requested not to send their requests for revaluation.
I have not received my completion memorandum/ final certificate till date.
The completion memorandums are despatched one month after the declaration of results of a particular examination. The final certificates are despatched six months after the declaration of result. In case a member does not receive his completion memorandum/certificate, he should apply immediately to the Corporate office of the Institute at Mumbai. The completion memorandum/certificate of a member is withheld if his examination fee is not paid or if his membership subscription is in arrears or if his examination application form is not received. Candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 100/- to get a duplicate certificate. The demand draft should be favouring 'Indian Institute of Banking & Finance'.

I want to know about the MBA examination conducted by IGNOU, New Delhi.
The members are requested to write to the IGNOU Office at Delhi or get in touch with the local chapters of IGNOU. The web site address of IGNOU is www.ignou.ac.in. The application forms and syllabus booklet are available at the local chapters of IGNOU only and not with the Institute.
I want to change my examination centre.
Change of examination centre is allowed only in case, if the member is on office transfer, or on deputation or training to a place, other than his place of work or residence. Change of centre is not allowed for personal reasons. Change of examination centre in case of online mode will not be accepted in the normal course. Such candidates may be required to appear in offline mode at the place of his transfer.
